  • Megan Fenkell, M. Ed.

    EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

    Megan began working at the Jamie and Denise Jacob Family Foundation in 2016, after a career as an elementary school teacher in Detroit. Helping children realize and reach their full potential has always been at the center of Megan’s career. While Megan’s heart will always be in the classroom, she feels that philanthropy is an avenue to making larger and longer lasting impact on young people and their families. Megan’s formers students and their families are always at the forefront of her mind as she builds relationships with non-profit leaders and seeks out funding opportunities. Megan has a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a master’s degree in Curriculum and Teaching from Michigan State University.

  • Dr. Courtney B. Morris

    SENIOR PROGRAM MANAGER

    Dr. Courtney B. Morris, a Detroit native, is a scholar, educator, and activist whose professional mission is to advance equity and opportunity for at-promise students. During her undergraduate journey, Courtney actively participated in projects related to educational equity. Courtney’s entry into the profession of education began as a college advisor for the AmeriCorp AdviseMI program. Since then, she has dedicated her professional career to serving students, families, organizations and education institutions in much impactful work towards success post-secondary goals and college degree attainment. Courtney received her Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts from Schoolcraft College, Bachelor's of Science in Health Administration and Masters of Arts in Higher Education & Student Affairs from Eastern Michigan University, and Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership from Central Michigan University. She joined the Jamie & Denise Jacob Family Foundation in 2022.
