Grant Information

The Jamie and Denise Jacob Family Foundation focuses on three areas: childhood enrichment, college access and success and reproductive health.

We are honored to support our grant partners. Take a look at a few of the grants these wonderful organizations have received from the Jamie and Denise Jacob Family Foundation.

 

Grant Recipients

  • Alternatives for Girls

    $55,000 for Rise N’ Shine summer camp and Asset Building Program.

  • Coalition on Temporary Shelter (COTS)

    Three year grant of $408,519 to support Bright Beginnings Child Development Center.

  • Detroit Achievement Academy

    2 year grant of $50,000 to support the High School Transition Coordinator.

  • Detroit College Access Network

    2 year grant of $450,000 to support the following: maintaining the current staffing, add additional program manager, support programming and operational capacity for out-of-school partners, and continue the GradSnapp subscription.

  • Developing KIDS

    2 year grant of $80,000 ($40,000/year) to support College Access & Success Coordination.

  • Give Merit

    2 year grant of $100,000 ($50,000/year) to Give Merit for the FATE Alumni Program.

  • InsideOut Literacy Arts

    3year grant of $150,000 ($50,000/year) for the School Writer-in-Residence Program in metro Detroit Schools.

  • Atlantic Impact

    2year grant of $100,000 ($50,000/year) to Atlantic Impact to support the College Access & Success Program.

  • Michigan Organization on Adolescent Sexual Health

    2 year grant of $122,000 ($61,000/ year) for an Advocacy Director.

  • Midnight Golf Program

    Midnight Golf Program

    Major funder of character development and life skills program for high school seniors that mentors and supports youth through college graduation.

  • Mosaic Youth Theatre of Detroit

    2 year grant of $180,000 ($90,000/year) to support the Mosaic Youth Ensembles, Summer Camp, and MEEP Success.

  • Planned Parenthood

    Planned Parenthood of Michigan

    Major financial contributor for the provision of reproductive health care and education.

  • Racquet Up Detroit

    $70,000 over two years to support college counseling and college liaison efforts to support students all the way to college graduation.

  • Starfish Family Services

    $50,000 to implement the Trauma Smart program in Head Start classrooms, which will teach children, parents and educators coping strategies and techniques to handle complex behaviors caused by trauma.

  • Teen Hype

    $125,000 to support the development director and youth leadership program.

  • The Children’s Center

    Recurring grant of 5 years for $35,000 each year to use towards general operating expenses.

  • Vision to Learn

    2 year grant of $300,000 ($150,000/year) to Vision To Learn Detroit to be used as general operating funds in an effort to expand services in Detroit.
